About Me

Milton has shaped who I am. It’s where I attended and graduated from the Milton Public Schools, where my husband Anthony and I chose to raise our family, and where our two sons attended and graduated from Tucker, Pierce and Milton High School. Milton is not just where we live, it’s the community that has given so much to our family, and one we are proud to call home.

Service to others is at the core of who I am, whether it has been the neighbors and residents who I have served over the years, or whether it is the patients I care for in my profession as a nurse practitioner.

I am running to ensure that our town government remains responsive to the needs and concerns of residents and that every voice in our community is heard. I believe that my record of service

in the town, and the skills I use every day in my profession have provided me with a strong foundation for serving you as one of your Select Board members.

One of my first experiences of giving back to the community was when I volunteered with the Tucker School PTO. I wanted to help maximize the students’ experience at the school, both as students and as members of the Tucker community at large. When I noticed that Tucker was the only elementary school without an outdoor basketball hoop, I felt this was unfair to our

students. I personally purchased a portable hoop, and collaborated with the after-school program to ensure that the hoop was made available outside to our students.

I also was one of the founding members of the Outdoor Classrooms established at our public schools and have served on the Foundation for Education. I often served on the subcommittee for the Teacher of the Year Awards, and was on the MPACE committee which brings cultural arts

& music to the schools. I am a strong supporter of our students and ensuring they have the resources they need to succeed.

Beyond giving back to our schools, I have volunteered in the town in other capacities. I served on the warrant committee, which reviews the town department budgets. I currently serve on the Board of Health, and as a Town Meeting Member in Precinct 5. I also recently served one term on the Select Board. In my time on the Select Board, I worked to ensure that residents were heard and their input valued. I also worked diligently to improve the Board’s transparency. For example, I successfully pushed to make Select Board meeting packets available online for residents to review prior to our meetings. While serving on the Board, we dealt with numerous

challenges. I consistently sought to focus my work around our residents’ input and perspective, and to approach problems with a listen-first, solutions-oriented, collaborative and respectful approach.

Professionally, I work as a Nurse Practitioner caring for elderly patients in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I had previously worked as a nurse in Boston, before earning my Master’s Degree from Northeastern University. I earned my undergraduate degree in nursing from Boston University. Working in the nursing/healthcare profession requires good judgement, an ability to listen well, respect for others, and the ability to work together for successful

outcomes. These are all important traits for serving on the Select Board.

Milton is an amazing place to make a home, raise a family, and establish roots. It has a rich history, beautiful green space, close proximity to Boston, excellent schools, and diverse neighborhoods. But Milton also faces challenges, from funding our budgets, to balancing development with preservation and neighborhood character, to addressing traffic concerns and public infrastructure needs. I will bring a service-first approach to the Select Board so we can

address these challenges and keep Milton one of the best towns to live in. Please scroll through the website here and connect on our linked Facebook & Instagram pages to become involved. I respectfully ask for your vote on Tuesday, April 28th.
